This is who we are
Rooted in Love. Living in the Unedited.
At Unedited Life, we believe faith is meant to be lived, not just preached. We are a rooted spiritual family in Junction City where people who don't fit the religious mold encounter the wild, unedited love of God. We aren't building a religious machine; we are tending a living, interdependent body that reflects Jesus in our homes, our streets, and our soil.
What We Believe
As followers of Christ, our identity is anchored in secured love, not earned acceptance. We rest in the finished reality that God has reconciled the world to Himself through Christ. This truth frees us from the exhausting performance of religion and the anxiety of earning worth. Our life together is an invitation to choose reconciliation over retribution, extending unconditional belonging to our neighbors and trusting the Father’s heart—which asks only for our presence, not our perfection.
Our Way of Life (Our "Boundary Lines")
-
Proximity over Distance: We sit at the same tables and learn names.
-
Shared Weight over Spectatorship: Everyone has a unique part to carry.
-
Self-Governance over Control: We trust the Spirit in one another.
-
Presence over Production: We prioritize worship and wonder over a "show."
-
Hospitality without Housebreaking: You belong before you conform.
Where the Mission Puts on Flesh
Our "programs" aren't separate silos; they are a living ecosystem where worship, work, and provision meet. We are 100% volunteer-run, fueled by an economy of grace.
-
The Gathering & Circles
-
The foundation of our shared life. Through Sunday gatherings and small groups, we move from spectators to participants, learning to carry the presence of Jesus into our daily lives.
-
-
The Land & Cultivation
-
40 acres entrusted to us to push back food insecurity. Through gardens and shared labor, housed and unhoused neighbors work side-by-side to experience the patience and provision of God.
-
-
Root & Bloom Mercantile
-
Our downtown hub where necessity meets beauty. This is a free-will endeavor where farm-fresh goods, donated items, and meaningful work celebrate the dignity of every person who walks through the door.
-
The Vision in Motion
We are dreaming of a community where no one fears homelessness and everyone knows they belong. As we grow, we look forward to cultivating spaces for retreat, restoration, and sustainable ways to deepen our roots in Junction City—always ensuring that the Mission remains the Boss.

COmmon Questions
Q1: What is the legal status of Unedited Life?
A: Unedited Life is a 501(c)(3) church and spiritual family. This designation confirms our commitment to the highest levels of transparency and accountability. Because we are 100% volunteer-run, we have no payroll; every dollar donated is used solely for our mission—tending the land, stocking the mercantile, and caring for our neighbors.
Q2: Why is everything at Root & Bloom Mercantile free of charge?
A: Our core principle is that necessity should be met with beauty and dignity. We have removed all "suggested donations" and price tags to ensure there is no barrier between our neighbors and the resources they need. We aren’t a retail store; we are a message that every person is worthy of the best we have to offer, regardless of their ability to contribute.
Q3: How is Unedited Life sustainable if you don't sell anything?
A: We operate on a cycle of radical generosity and "Shared Weight."
-
Zero Payroll: Because we are 100% volunteer-run, we don't have the overhead of traditional organizations. Every cent donated goes directly into the mission—seeds for the farm, utilities for the building, and coffee for the table.
-
Community Stewardship: We are sustained by those who see the mission and choose to partner with us through tax-deductible financial gifts or by donating high-quality goods.
-
Trust: We trust that as we give freely and "rule in favor of love," the resources needed to keep the lights on will follow.
Q4: What will I find when I visit the Mercantile?
A: You will find a boutique environment designed to celebrate real people. We specialize in high-quality apparel for all ages, alongside farm-fresh eggs and seasonal produce from Goose Creek Farms. You’ll also find baked goods, handmade jewelry, and hot coffee. We focus on excellence because we believe our neighbors deserve more than just "leftovers."
Q5: How does the Land (Goose Creek Farms) support the community?
A: The land is our outdoor classroom for "patience and provision." We provide fresh eggs from our chickens and ducks, and we are growing toward a future that includes community gardens and a greenhouse to provide fresh produce year-round. All of this harvest is moved directly to the Mercantile to be shared with the community.
Q6: How can I partner with or participate in Unedited Life?
A: We don't have a "payroll"; we have a family. We rely entirely on the shared weight of those who walk with us. You can partner with the mission by:
-
