Helping the Mission Breathe
At Unedited Life, we don't have a "staff" that does the work for an "audience." We are a family where everyone carries a piece of the weight. We lead by going first, and we grow by leaning in.
Whether you have an hour a week or a day a month, there is a place for you to plant yourself.
VOLUNTEER
Goose Creek Farm
The Rhythms of the Land (Goose Creek Farms)
The land is our outdoor classroom. It requires steady hands and patient hearts.
-
Egg Tenders: Helping collect, clean, and prep our farm-fresh eggs for the Mercantile.
-
Soil Stewards: Assisting with seasonal planting, weeding, and tending the community gardens.
-
Curb-Runners: Helping move the harvest from the Land to the Mercantile so our neighbors have fresh produce.
Root & Bloom Mercantile
The Mercantile is where necessity meets beauty. We host this space with excellence.
-
Shop Hosts: Being a welcoming presence, brewing coffee, and walking with neighbors as they "shop" for what they need.
-
Curators: Sorting through donated goods to ensure only the best, most dignified items make it to our floor.
-
Story-Linkers: Sitting at the tables, listening to neighbors, and being a friend to those who walk through the door.
Sunday's
The Rhythms of the Gathering
Sundays are when we reset and remember who we are.
-
The Welcome Table: Ensuring every person—housed or unhoused—is greeted by name and feels at home.
-
Atmosphere Team: Helping set the space for worship, from simple decor to tech support.
-
Coffee Tenders: Keeping the "holy water" flowing and the tables clean for conversation.
How to Lean In
-
Linger First: If you’re new, don't feel pressured to sign up for anything yet. Just be present. Come to a gathering, visit the Mercantile, or walk the Land.
-
Link Stories: When you’re ready to help, reach out to [Name/Email]. We’d love to grab a coffee and hear what you’re passionate about. We don't just want your hands; we want your heart.
-
Find Your Rhythm: We’ll help you find a spot on the menu that fits your current season. Whether you are Rooting (healing) or Rising (leading), there is a way for you to participate that gives life rather than draining it.
